Julia Wright wins big for Girl Scout NC Coastal Pines!
This is a first time win for Julia Wright who won BIG for GSNCCP at our May 7th poker event. We welcomed 26 ladies to the poker tables at Bobbitt Construction and had a blast playing poker with a purpose AND rooting on the Carolina Hurricanes in their run for the Stanley Cup! It made for a festive evening with lots of cheering all around.
Special shout-outs to our Pit Boss Chris Bell and Final Table Dealer Brian Didiano as well as the man always on the go getting us our beverages - Brian "Buddy" O'Haver. You guys are the best along with our magnificant dealers!
We'll take a break over the summer and be back at the tables on September 10, 2026!

Come join us as we kick of our 9th season of "playing poker with a purpose" on Thursday, September 10, 2026 and join other awesome women in raising money for our community!
Please note our new location at Bobbitt Construction located at 2400 Weston Parkway in Cary, NC. Didi treats us well there - lots of parking right in front of the building, easy 15 minute drive from downtown Raleigh, and a gorgeous lobby with huge glass windows where we will be playing.
We'll be starting at 5:30pm with social time and dinner. We'll start announcements at 6:15pm sharp. We will provide the dinner and non-alcoholic beverages and you can bring anything else you'd like to drink (our bartenders will keep you hydrated!). Bobbitt will provide some delicious dessert for all to enjoy. During this time, we will also have a dealer available at one of the tables to "warm up" any poker players who need additional instruction or just wanting to play a hand or two early.
We'll play three rounds of Texas Hold 'Em with an opportunity for additional buy-ins throughout the three rounds. The five players with the most chips after round three will go the final table to compete for the title of "Queen of the Night". The player with the most chips at the end of the round wins and all proceeds that night go to her charity of choice.
