Playing Poker with a Purpose – raising money for our community!

Congratulations to Karen Daly who was the big winner of our inaugural Queens Club event held back in April 2026. Karen was able to donate $5,000 to Note in the Pocket. The Mission for this amazing charity is to provide clothing to homeless and impoverished children and families with dignity and love.

Queens Club Inc. is a 501c3 established right here in North Carolina in 2017. Our purpose is to bring women together to network, socialize and play poker to raise money for local nonprofits. All monies raised during the poker game are donated to the charities of choice of the woman who wins the game. It’s a unique way to bring women together in fun and fellowship to benefit those around us who need a helping hand. Experience playing poker is preferable but not required to participate in an event.

Queens Club North Raleigh - Poker With A Purpose

August 25, 2026  5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

6638 Old Wake Forest Road Raleigh (inside Theatre Raleigh)

Ticket :  $125 (Includes food and $300 in playing chips value)

Doors open at 5:30 pm.  Food will be ready when you arrive. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase at the bar throughout the evening.  Please note that we will have practice games for first 30 minutes for anyone who wants to become more familiar with the game of Texas Hold’em.  We have an amazing Pit Boss Thorne Daubenspeck and his team of experienced Dealers who will be at our game tables guiding and supporting us throughout the evening.  Again, no specific level of playing experience is required to play. Utube videos are helpful for those new to the game.  At the end of the evening, the gal holding the most chips wins and then decides which charity she chooses to have the winnings donated to. A check for the full amount will be delivered to the charity by the winner shortly following the event.

Things to do in preparation for the event:

• Purchase your ticket; tickets are limited to the first 40 to register

• Determine what charity you would like to give your winnings to if you are the big winner

• Wear colors red, black, gold and/or white; have fun with this casino/poker theme
